PReS-FINAL-2240: Serum amyloid protein a concentration in CAPS patients treated with anti IL1Β
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction Although all patients with chronic inflammatory conditions are at risk for developing type AA amyloidosis, the incidence varies widely between the different Autoinflammatory syndromes. The reported incidence is about 35% of patients with CAPS (cryopyrin-associated periodic syndrome) which comprises familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome (FCAS), Muckle-Wells syndrome and CINCA (chronic infantile neurological cutaneous, articular inflammatory syndrome). CAPS is associated with mutations in NLRP3/CIAS1 on chromosome 1q44, found only in about 50% of patients. Previous studies have demonstrated that IL-1b inhibitors are able to induce complete remission of clinical manifestations and suppression of markers of inflammation in the majority of patients.

MRP8 and MRP14, phagocyte-specific danger signals, are sensitive biomarkers of disease activity in cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes.
OBJECTIVES To assess the sensitivity of the phagocyte-specific molecules myeloid-related protein (MRP) 8 and MRP14 (calprotectin) for monitoring disease activity during anti-interleukin (IL)-1 therapies in patients with cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes (CAPS), including familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome (FCAS), Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS) and chronic infantile neurological, cutaneo...
متن کاملEffect of ascorbic acid and alpha-tocopherol supplementations on serum leptin, tumor necrosis factor alpha, and serum amyloid A levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective: Diabetes mellitus Type 2 is one of the most widespread chronic metabolic diseases. In most cases, this type of diabetes is associated with alterations in levels of some inflammatory cytokines and hormones. Considering anti-inflammatory properties of plant extracts rich in ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), anti-diabetic properties of these two well-known anti...

INTRODUCTION Cryopyrin-associated periodic syndrome (CAPS) represents a spectrum of three auto-inflammatory syndromes, familial cold auto-inflammatory syndrome (FCAS), Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS), and neonatal-onset multisystem inflammatory disease/chronic infantile neurological cutaneous and articular syndrome (NOMID/CINCA) with etiology linked to mutations in the NLRP3 gene resulting in eleva...
متن کاملAnti-amyloidogenic and disaggregating effects of Salvia officinalis in vitro: a strategy to reduce the insulin amyloid fibrils due to repeated subcutaneous injections in diabetic patients
Background: Recently, there has been growing efforts to elucidate the molecular mechanism of amyloid formation and investigating effective compounds for inhibiting of amyloid structures. Investigation of the fibrillation process through its induction and inhibition using specific compounds such as aromatic derivatives provide useful information for stabilizing the protein structure. In the pres...
متن کاملPReS-FINAL-1010: circulating micrornas in traps
Results We identified a 6 miRNAs signature able to discriminate TRAPS from healthy controls. Moreover, 4 miRNAs were differentially expressed between patients treated with the interleukin (IL)-1 receptor antagonist anakinra and untreated patients. Of these, miR-92a-3p expression was found to be reduced in untreated patients, while its expression levels were similar to healthy controls in sample...
